What is the difference between a TPU case and a hard plastic case?

TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) is a flexible, shock-absorbing material similar to rubber. It’s extremely good at cushioning drops and provides excellent grip. Hard plastic offers a sleeker, more rigid feel and slides very easily into a pocket, but doesn’t absorb shocks quite as well in the event of a harder fall.
