Can I use a case for the Google Pixel 8 Pro on my Pixel 9 Pro?

No. The Google Pixel 9 Pro features a completely new design with flatter edges and a 6.3-inch screen size (compared to 6.7 inches on the Pixel 8 Pro). Furthermore, the camera module has a new, freestanding pill-shaped design. You therefore need an accessory that is precisely moulded for the Pixel 9 Pro.

Will a case for the standard Pixel 9 also fit the Pixel 9 Pro?

Although the basic dimensions of the devices are identical, the Pro model has a more advanced camera setup with an extra telephoto lens and a temperature sensor built into the camera module. To ensure that no sensors or microphones are covered, you should always choose a case that is specifically designed for the Pixel 9 Pro.

Do ‘Tap to Pay’ (NFC) and wireless charging work if I have a wallet case?

Yes, NFC and wireless charging work through most materials. However, if you have a very thick wallet case filled with lots of payment cards, the thickness may interfere with the charging signal.
