Find the right Garmin Bounce 2 strap for your child

As the Garmin Bounce 2 is often worn on the wrist all day long, from the school playground to football training, it’s crucial that the strap is both comfortable and extremely durable. Our range focuses on safe, skin-friendly materials and smart designs that children actually want to wear.

Choose materials based on your child’s daily routine

To ensure the watch fits well and doesn’t get in the way of play, you should choose a strap that suits your child’s routine. Here are our recommendations based on common scenarios:

  • For play, sport and messy adventures: If your child loves being active, swimming or playing outdoors, then a lightweight strap made of soft, breathable silicone is by far the best choice. Silicone is water-repellent, extremely easy to clean under the tap after a muddy outing, and gentle on the skin.
  • For maximum comfort and sensitive skin: If your child is prone to chafing, finds standard plastic wristbands sticky, or has particularly sensitive skin, we recommend a soft woven nylon strap. These are feather-light, breathable and fitted with smooth buckles that allow your child to easily adjust the fit perfectly without adult help.

Protect the smartwatch from knocks and scratches

Children’s play can be rough, and a smartwatch is constantly at risk of being scraped against brick walls, gravel and tarmac. If you do decide to replace the strap to freshen up the watch, you should strongly consider fitting a tempered glass screen protector at the same time. A small investment in a screen protector or a robust case significantly extends the watch’s lifespan and keeps the display completely free from cracks.

Frequently asked questions

How do I change the strap on the Garmin Bounce 2?

It’s very easy to change the strap thanks to the built-in spring pins (quick-release). Simply pull the small metal catch on the back of the strap to the side to release the old strap. To attach the new strap, place one end of the pin into the watch’s mount, pull the latch to the side again and click the other end into place. No tools are needed and it only takes a few seconds.

Are the straps safe and skin-friendly for children?

Yes, our replacement straps are made from high-quality, skin-friendly materials. We particularly recommend our silicone and nylon straps for children, as these materials are soft, flexible and designed not to rub against the wrist during vigorous play and movement.

How do I clean the watch strap?

As the watch is worn by children, it will naturally get dirty. A silicone strap can easily be clicked off, rinsed under lukewarm water and wiped with a drop of mild soap. If you have chosen a nylon strap, it can often be washed by hand with a little mild detergent and then left to air-dry overnight to become completely fresh again.
